By the way, the rollbar is going to cost me around $1,000 with a detachable side bar and padding and to NHRA specs with steel mounting plates etc.

Piper custom builds them around your driving position so they fit, with full travel for seat angle and preservation of the storage bins.

So by next Friday I will be ready for the track.

Bobby I looked into the cheaper pre-built bars and found they are all kinds of hassles with most people recommending a professional installation.

Some of them require you to pull out the rear panels and your stereo speakers, others have a cross bar, meaning your ability to recline the seat goes away, others want your seat to be a certain distance from the pedal.

Screw it. May as well get it done right and keep a livable car. It's still a daily driver.

sounds good.

I was looking at teh M2 systems, they look ok, but the money i would end up spending on that i might as well get a custom made one.

For those of you looking for a local guy in MD. Clark Racing Chassis does all my chassis work and is reasonably priced. I highly recommend him. See you guys at the track friday maybe it wont rain this week.

I definately think we are doomed for any racing this week with the hurricane!! It has given me a chance to get almost my entire interior back in including the radio so thats a plus!!

I might be able to swing down that way this weekend. I've been wanting to meet you and check out your place. Whats a number where I can get ahold of you? PM me if you'd like.
