Thumbs up

The most successful RX7 event in the Midwest last year is back again: The

2nd Annual Midwest Rotary Rendezvous! Here is all the information and your

registration form. This is the event of the summer for RX7 fans and their

families, too!

****************************************

The RX7 Club of WI, the Northstar Rotary Rockets, the Rotary Car Club of

Chicago and the Mid America RX7 Club invite you to the 2nd annual Midwest

Rotary Rendezvous the weekend of July 20-21. Last year's event was very

successful, got rave reviews, and we've made it bigger and better for you

this year! This year Mazda America has offered more sponsorship money and

Road America has provided all we've asked for to make the Sunday event lots

of fun.

We have a whole weekend of events planned starting with a picnic/tire

kicking/corner weighing affair at Virmond Park (Mequon, WI) at noon on

Saturday. Saturday night we will again meet at The Centennial Restaurant in

Mequon at 6:00PM.

The main event is Sunday beginning with meeting at the Park and Ride at Hwy

43 and Hwy C in Cedarburg WI for the caravanning to Road America in Elkhart

Lake, the greatest road racing track in North America. We will be watching

vintage Can Am racing from our corral. New and very special this year, we

are offering an exciting opportunity to put your car on the track for

touring for an additional but reduced fee for the first 40 who sign up.

Just like last year, you will be treated to giveaways, a program, and a

weekend of great fun with other RX7 owners. The clubs have been working hard

to make the event affordable for all through soliciation of donations and

advertising.

If you are at all considering coming to this event, I suggest you make your

hotel/motel reservations immediately. Rooms fill up quickly in the area due

to the activities at Road America and other events in the area. I suggest

the contacting the following:

The Chalet Motel (the official gathering spot) in Mequon, WI: 262-241-4510

Saukville Super 8 in Saukville, WI: 262-284-9461

Best Western Harborside in Port Washington: 262-284-9461

Siebkens Resort in Elkhart Lake: 920-876-3275

The Osthoff in Elkhart Lake: 920-876-3366

Please print out the registration form below and send with all fees. Please

be advised that the first 40 who sign up for touring pay the reduced fee of

$40 for 45-60 minutes of track time. After those slots fill, the price

returns to the Road America set price of $75.00. Once your reservation is

received, we will mail to your the actual Road America form for touring sign

up which we will need back immediately. Additionally, we are continuing to

seek donations and advertising fees and hope to be able to continue to

reduce the price as funds are secured.

We look forward to seeing you for the 2002 Midwest Rotary Rendezvous!
