Update on the Tech Sessions planned so far for the 3rd annual Midwest Rotary Rally, Aug 22 - 24 at Road America:

o We are planning 4 sessions per day (Sat & Sun)

o It looks like we have 4 sessions nailed down for sure:

- Compression Testing (free test of your car, plus technical talk on procedure, "good" range, etc.)

- Corner Weighing (free weighing of your car, plus technical talk on procedure, techniques to improve, etc.)

- Pettit Racing (topic TBD)

- Tri-Point Engineering (topic TBD)

- Star Mazda Car Technology

- Driver Talk (Pettit, Tri-Point, Star Mazda???)

Please post any suggestions you have on topics that you would like to have an expert speak on.

We will be publishing the full schedule soon, with which sessions will be done oin what days. This depends on when the people from Pettit and Tri-Point will be available, i.e.- when they have time between the races they will be in.

Speaking of the races, for those who may have missed the original announcement, the Midwest Rotary Rally will be held on the same weekend as the American LeMans Series (ALMS). The supporting race series are:

- Speed World Challenge GT (Pettit runs their 3rd gen in this one)

- Speed World Challenge Touring (Tri-Point and several other teams run Proteges in this)

- Star Mazda (open wheel rotary-powered formula cars)

In addition to the aforementioned technical sessions and racing, the Midwest Rotary Rally (MRR) weekend also offers you the chance to drive your car on the Road America road course. This session is considered "tourin", but offers a chance to drive on one of America's best tracks at medium speeds (80 - 100).

The MRR web site is at:

http://www.rotaryrally.com

It contains the registration form, lodging info, etc.

Or drop me an email or IM me for more info.

Cheers,

Steve
