Greetings,

The 4th Annual Midwest Rotary Rally is shaping up nicely. This event

is the premier Midwest gathering of RX-7s, RX-8s, RX-3s, and other

rotary-powered vehicles such as Mazda's REPU (Rotary Engine Pick

Up) and Star Mazda open wheel cars.

We are about to release the updated web site, which has all the

details, but in the mean time, here is the scoop on the event:

Date: August 21 - 22, 2004

Location: Road America, at Elkhart Lake, WI

Racing: Star Mazda rotary-powered open wheel cars as the supporting

race for the American LeMans Series (ALMS). Pettit Racing may run

in the SPEED World Challenge Series, and Jim Downing might bring

their 4-rotor LeMans car for the ALMS race. Tri-Point and other tuners

will be racing Mazda Proteges too.

This year we are planning on being at the track both Saturday and

Sunday. Touring will be on Saturday - you get to drive your car on the

track! This was awesome last year.

The Midwest Rotary Rally was sponsored last year by Mazda North

America, Rotary Xecret, Pettit Racing, Gotham Racing,

Mazdaformance, The Gear Selector, and Victoria British.

The clubs organizing this event currently include the Rotary Car Club of

Chicago (RC3), The RX-7 Club of Wisconsin, and Northstar Rotary

Rockets (MN).

If your club would like to help organize the event, you would be more

than welcome.

Also, if your company is interested in sponsoring the event, please

contact me.

Please see our web site:

or email me for more info.

Cheers,

Steve Cirian (steve@ScuderiaCiriani.com)

We have updated the MRR web site with new info about the event, plus added a pre-registration form on the Registration Info page.

Pre-registering does not commit you to anything, and we are not asking for any money as part of pre-registering. All this will do is let us know how many people are planning on attending so we can plan car corral space inside the track, arrange for hotel group deals, etc.

We will also add you to our email list (and we will not share your address with anyone, nor will we deluge you with updates - just the important items).

The web site is:

Cheers,

Steve

Greetings,

The Midwest clubs organizing this year's MRR (our fourth!) are pleased to announce that the registration form and event pricing are now available:

MRR Registration Form 2004

Bonus for early registration: the Gear Selector is donating one hat per person registered. This year's design is: "Peace Love, Rotary":

Note: The ball cap is of unstructured design, and includes an adjustable band at the back. One size fits most. The Gear Selector reserves the right to substitute other rotary designs if stock on hand exceeded. If you can not pick this up at the MRR, an additional shipping charge of $5 will apply.

Drop me an email if you have any questions on registering or anything else about the MRR.

Cheers,

Steve
