Hi, im Gary and i live in MN. Joined here a number of years ago as i was helping build an FC (REW, GT42, Haltech, etc) but never had one myself. Ive had a number of high hp cars, Buick GN (430whp, 540wtq) 04 GTO (540whp,490wtq) Buick GN with a LSx swap and a 76mm turbo (650whp, 585wtq) and a 94 Trans Am fully built with a big blower on it (620whp,560wtq). I do all my own work and build everything myself, engines, trannies, turbo stuff, and also do my own tuning and such.
Well i bought a really clean FB recently to do some short course stuff with and a little bit of drag racing. Its an 82 with 127k on it, 20k on a mazda rebuilt 12A, 5-speed and was stone stock, and 95% rust free and clean. Black interior in perfect shape as well. It is currently 2420lbs with a full tank, spare and jack. I am planning on making a nice stainless header, 3" aluminum exhaust and removing all the emmissions stuff over the winter. Also i will be making an intake mani and putting on a trio of 39mm carbs when i get some time, so that should be interesting. I would like to get to 2300lbs or so, shouldnt be too hard, and up in the 150whp area. After that i will be doing a rebuild and a large streetport, maybe pick up a set of extra rotors and try to get a really high compression motor built, over 10:1 and run it on E85. So hello i have been finding alot of helpful 1st gen stuff so far!
