Newbie sayin' hey
#1
Hello! I'm new here and pretty excited to see a place with a little better signal to noise ratio than some other forums. I just bought a new RX8 earlier this year, and as a rotary newbie (and planning a wedding which means no extra cash) it is totally stock, and will be for a while. That's ok, though, because I want to use up my warrnaty and series II rx8's don't have enough aftermarket support. yet. Or ever will, I don't know. Somewhere down the line (possibly after the warranty) I want to take it autocrossing possibly. Right now I'm somewhere in Boston, and new to the area. Here's a car pic:
The brown van next to it is also mine, it's my old car. It's kindof my first and second car, but that's hard to explain, and I still have it. I got a screaming deal on the 8 because it was one of those unsold 2009 models with the huge rebates, plus i got another 1000 off for some reason, it seemed they wanted it out of their showroom, and I was happy to help. Oddly, I went there to try out an Evo X GSR, i didn't even want to buy a car, but i test drove this for fun and I just liked driving it better than any of the other 4 or so cars I test drove, despite it being the lowest powered and having the worst fuel economy (not that I cared). For some reason, the Evo was great on paper, but felt pretty lame as a day to day driving around town in traffic car. This thing always made me want to hit the gas constantly, which might end up being a bad thing lol
