Post

I just bought a red 1990 gxl, and wanted to say hi....I've been around 7's for a while since my brother (mazdabation) bought his first FC almost 10 years ago...I have to say, the purchase of this car has a pretty interesting story...I was at a local Tim Hortons with a friend when the rx-7 pulled up. I told my friend I liked those cars, he just thought it was really dirty....the longer the guy waited in his rx-7, the more I wanted to approach him...So thats what I did, asked him how long he owned it, how many clicks, small talk for the most part...then asked if he would ever sell it, sure enough he says yah...I got his name and number and called him as soon as I got home to see when I could come have a closer look....The following weekend it was at midas for a safety check, with me, my bro, and my dad under the car checking what it needed...when all was inspected...Frank the owner, asked me to make an offer....I was in the ball park that this car was worth $2,000 and had a good feeling I could get him lower...he says to me i'm looking to get $1,500...we'll I thought about it and told him what I thought the car needed....he said $1000...I was in the position to make my offer at this point and told him I'd give him $800 cash...he looked at his baby he had since new when he bought it off the showroom floor, looked at me, and shook my hand....it was said and done he gave me all the service records including the original bill of sale, a cool 29,995 at burlington Mazda in 1990...

Here are some pics....which will become before pics in no time....

Welcome to the forum.

Our FC's actually costed that much when bought new. I never knew that. Well, that is the S5, and is much better looking and better power than the S4.

Enjoy your stay on np.com
