New to forums and rotarys

Hello, Im Vin.
Im am very new to the rotary scene but am looking to pick up a 13b-REW this winter to being building to be dropped into an FD3 or a miata (yes...a miata) after it is built.
Found a thread in this forum through a search for porting and found more information in that one thread than any other forum/search result I have ever come across so I thought this was the right place for me. Not to mention i realized Judge Ito works/worked at the shop in NJ that I plan on having any work I cannot do myself done!
Anyway, looking forward to reading up as much as I can and getting some great information from this forum. I love the rotary concept and its not something everyone has looked into. Being a mechanical engineer might help the fact that this type of engine interestes me the most!

Thank you for the welcome!
all I know at the moment is I want the womp womp womp and about 450-500hp. The car (either miata or FD) will be a fun project for as all around as I can get it, show/street/drift/autocross. I realize there are many different setup requirements(mostly suspension) for each of these but im not planning on winning anything or getting to serious...just to enjoy it.
Will put up some preliminary thoughts on what is going to be done to the motor once I get to an actual computer.

Might be joining the FD club soon! Going to take a look at a 93 FD touring that needs some paint and reassembly (all stuff is there thought). Also might be dropping the miata idea, have to do a bit of digging but NYS Inspection might be bringing that idea to a screaching hault.
Anything I should look for (troubled areas) on the FD when looking it over?
