Turbo 1st Gen Vs Integra Gs-r
#1
I just got the car running for the first time like a week ago, still not tuned, running pig rich. I need to go down a size on the air bleeds (Blow-thru turbo holley).
Well anyways,
I am just cruising down 152nd street, running only the wastegate spring (10psi), while watching the wideband as I put load on each gear.
A bright red Integra GS-R pulls up in my next lane, it has rims, "A" pillar gauges, nice and clean. Either way, he must've thought I was racing, when I would boost a couple of seconds at the time.
Then,
He actually Revved at me!! I am loving this... As right now my car appears like a 100% stock GSL-SE outside.
We both slow down to about 30, and approach the upcoming light that is turning yellow. Perfect. A standing start..
Light turns green, I give it 3/4 throttle, and short shift at only 5,000 RPM. By the time I switch into fourth gear, I must have had 8 car-lengths on him. I slow down once I hit about ninety, as his VTEC was screaming to catch up. He pulls up next to me, and has his eyes completely wide open. He says, "nice race, I 'll get you next time," and then makes a right turn.
OMG, this is so fun. The car is a pleasure to drive at 10PSI, fast as hell at 14PSI, and an freaking animal at 17PSI. I can't wait till it is fully tuned, so I can redline each gear, and REALLY embarrass some high-end cars.
Anyways, that was my 1st Turbo 1st Gen kill. I popped my cherry.

WELL IF U CONSIDER IT A KILL.... CONGRATULATIONS BUT A TURBO VS A NA WILL NEVER BE A RACE ESPECIALLY IF ITS A 4 BANGER N/A...... BUT THATS MY 2 CENTS
There are plenty of NA 4 bagers that will run same times as Turbo cars
