Im sorry a VR-4 will give lots of trouble to all RX-7's in stock or mild modified form. Before i got my 88 se I had a 95 3000GT VR-4 i had a boost controler, a progressive nitrous controler to help off boost performance, and a nos intercooler fogger's for thoes un expected street races after intercooler's gets heat soaked. There was not a car down here that could keep up with me. I would kill mustangs, camaros, stock corvets, supras, some other vr-4's, and a few RX-7's. belive me the rx-7's gave me the most troubles especially this 1 89 glx I raced that i dont know what he had but he was on my *** like dirty style till around 80 then i pulled away. but I was perty much stock no engine modifications or any thing and I was doing 12.6 1/4 mile on a cool day. if it was hot like it gets down here in miami id do like 13.5 with out the intercooler spray and back to like 13. with the n2o spray. then ran in to financial trouble sold it for almost twice what it was worth and bought my 88 SE. I went from the hunter to the hunted
