Yeah, after the meet on saturday here on the NE. My friends and i went to see some street races. :sleepy: Nothing exciting there, a few cars and no one racing. So me and my friend decided to line up and race and head home. So we did. I tell you, never red lining my car again, not worth it and that buzzer gets annoying. Since it was our first time, we just lined up, trying to figure out how to do it. So i give him a nod and he signals ok. And takes off, and i take off right after. By the end of first i had gained enough ground to be even, second was pretty even until he shifted and i decided to stay with second. and that was all she wrote. he beat me by about a fender.



All in all, it was a good day. well see what happens next week.

Theres nothing better than sitting at a light ..reving your **** ..to get someone elses attention to 'lets go'...I sit there @ about 6000 rpms...when the light is about to go green ...I hit it hard..let all 4 bbls open up....I usally dont go out of 3rd gear.....I redline the shifts...I dont even look at the tach ..I just listen for the beep..more power.....dam cant wait till I get my racing clutch ..and GSLSE rearend...



I only drove a 2nd gen like for a weekend...and cant remeber if it has a rev limiter and what about 3rd gens?



When im at a raceshop...looking for **** ..or a 10k+ tach ..and them GM boys here me saying about lanching

@ 8-9000 rpms they think im bullshitting or nuts....till I tell them about the rotary..then they know whats up.



I was talking to a old friend and I was looking @ his car and his mods...93 honda civic and asked him if he wanted to race and I had a 1.1 ..and me knowing all he had a the 1.5 civic...he said hell yeah ..lets do it for cash.....I asked him you sure?He said yeah thats the only way ill race ..I said ok ill give you 2 cars head start..then he said I want to see what you got ..I told him all it is ..is a RX 7..then he says **** no....but we decided to meet up just for fun ..and see how he hangs...he owes me a date ..and cant wait till a hot/dry sunny weekend to to meet up..

 

ive got an 85 GSLSE with headers and exhaust and non working secondary actuators(?). Hes got an 85 base, headers, exhaust and new clutch, . And a new diff, but dont know if he got around to buying the 4.3 he was looking at, or got a stock one.

Take out the actuators.
