HAHAHA yeah that **** was awsome! nah I was comin off of 7 and the sand on the exit made me go into a huge *** drift that to be perfectly honest, I knew I couldn't handle, so I gave up and let myself swing around, then rolled up into some dude front yard backwards , haha it was funny after it happened, but definately learned how bald my tires are. Dude its still got the ORIGINAL TIRES!

OK I know I'm not a regular here so you might tell me to get lost, but what you did was stupid. You don't know how well that kid can drive. How would you feel if he lost it on that curvy road and killed himself and possibly innocent other people? You'd like to live with that the rest of your life?

I played around with a Mustang GT one night and the stupid kid passed me before a blind corner, I was hard on the brakes to give him the room to get back over but sure enough a car comes from the opposite direction and he loses it winding up in the ditch. He could have been dead and others too.

I don't care how good a driver you are you don't know about the other guy. Take it to the track.

Exclamation

Take it to the track I agree with that but sometimes its better to street race because the people you meet sometimes and you get a chance to see whats out running the streets near you.The bigfish as I would say.Get a chance to imbaress him with his girl in the car.

Well if you have bald tires, that doesn't mean ur car handles worse. Bald tire has more surface contact with road.

Plus the stock tires on RX-8 are crappy probably and this guys being cocky can't drive worth ****.

Good kill thought with basically a stock TII.

a little body roll is good, so you can transfer some weight, to bad the guy didn' know how to use it
whether the body rolls or not, weight will be transferred to the outside tires in a turn. whether that weight is transferred to the front or rear tires depends on the suspension (oversteer / understeer / whatever)

although the CM might move over the tires a maringal arount, the actual weight transfer is due to rotational acceleration, not body roll.

body roll changes the orientation of the suspension, effecting the camber of the wheels and the geometry of the suspension (how the car handles in bump after the body has rolled). subsequently, the tire contact patch could be changed / reduced due to body roll, not necessarily a good thing.

anyway, i'm sure the reason your car outhandled the FE was because of driving, not the actual cars. he cares about his car, you don't, and subsequently didn't push it as hard.

i seriously doubt a 15 yr old car with 15 yr old stock (worn) suspension and a 15 yr old design would beat an RX-8.

RX-8's have upper and lower a-arm suspension (double wishbone, i think ), which is inheritantly better than the mcpherson setup of a FC.
