Ok I was on the main drag in my hometown right? and well I pull up to a stop light and am just waitin for it to turn green. anyways a 3000gt VR4 pulls next to me and the guy is like whats up so I already knew the race was on.. anyways remind you im stock and not used to driving the 7 again. So ligfht turns green and he jumps on me by i donno a fender, Im on his but and im slowly gainin on him and we get to the next light and hes like whoa u kept up to me and im like yah?? he was shocked so we pull into a autozone nearby and he checks out my car as I his. Well he was like what all have you done to yours and im like uhh catback exhaust thats it. and i asked him about his and he was like turbo stage 3 upgrades, FMIC, 3" full exhaust system,AEM EMS, ACT clutch, just a bunch of high dollar parts and was like yah i run a 13.5 in the quarter and all this crap and he showed me all the stuff too so i know he wasnt lyin.. but anyways I lost but barely lost to a highly modded VR4 and I was in a practially stock FD i was proud even tho i lost..



I think if i had a lil more driving time, better traction and left the light at around 4500 i would have owned him still being pretty much stock!!

 

nice ALMOST KILL i think those vr-4's are really heavy anyways, funny you really put the damper on the guy whos tryin to sell his vr-4 just put an ad in the forsale forum but it aint gonna look good for his prospective sale when they read this story about you in your fd with just a catback almost beat a vr-4 so modded as the one you faced.

 

ha ha, I didnt know there was a guy tryin to sell a vr4 here im sorry man.. but yah I believe this proves that these are one of the best japaneese supercars ever made!! a stock one runs neck to neck with a well modded VR4 which people are scared of cause its twin turbo and awd.. meh my FD showed him...





Actually i havent thougth about it till now but I bet he went home super pissed about gettin ran down by a stock car when he dumped soo much cash into his ride..... It was a nice car I might add it just didnt have what it took to really impress me speedwise..



My FD says that once It get the 3" full exhaust and up my boost to 14-15psi with the FMIC it wants a rematch with that vr4 unless I go with a large single turbo like a t62-1

 

Thats pretty cool man. It goes to show you what an amazing power to weight ratios the FD's have!

 

yeah i gt a funny story to tell besides what i mentioned above... My buddy Shawn and I took a trip to Auto Zone to pick up oil and a filter for my FD, anyways as we walk out a kid is just starin at my car and he goes man thats a bad **** probe lol..



I just smile and say thanks man, However my friend shawn (whos a smart **** anyways lol) starts looking at his Monte with a wing and all his stickers and says is that your ride..??



The kid answers yah thats my car..



Shawn then goes (fully knowing its a monte) Man thats a Bad **** Escort!!



the kid goes its not a escort its a monte!!



Shawn then says yah well this aint no damn probe eather...



The kid looks shocked and WTF and we drive off... Im laughin the whole time too it was funny, you guys had to be there i guess... the kid totally had it commin to him he was a total poser and NAWZZ fan!!! i should have gotten a pic of his car it was horrid!!!
