Ok, now that is a tougher call...lol. The 300z has much more HP...but it does in fact weigh almost 4000lbs!!!(actually its like 36 to 38 hundred).
I would have to say it has a lot to do w/ drivers, but I'd give it to the Z. But if you put full exhaust on the Rx7 and Z, the Rx7 will win...Rx7s gain more then the Zs do...it would only take the rx7 a few mods to beat the z.

Well, my buddy(who used to own the '95 240sx) got rid of the Sx and bought a zx tt...guess he got tired of my Rx7 beating the sx, lol. Well, I've ridden w/ him a lot and his car is fast...0 to 60 in about 6 flat. You feel the car's weight though...his is fully loaded w/ leather interior, etc. Now, I've also ridden in another buddy's '91 T2 w/ SP motor, exhaust, and boost controller...and it was much quicker. I like both the ZX and Rx7s...but I wouldn't count the 2nd gen out of competition against modded 300zs either.

When I was at the drag strip I saw a bunch of riced out 300zx's ... even the tt models were only running low 15's and high 14's. Im sure it has some what to do with the drivers of them, but out of about 3 of them, none of them got into the 13's even with some the basic ricer mods.

I'm not sure the tII will win against a 300z tt, but against a 300z t the tII should blow its doors off. Most of the 300z tt in my town will blow my doors off and I have a fair amount of mods done to my 90 tII.
