Okay, so I just got done eating at Buppy's BBQ and my friend BJ and his buddy from the University of Texas, Sean, are leaving too. They drove to the place in Sean's Mustang 5.0 convertable, upgraded cams and full exhaust and cold air intake, I think. So BJ wants to ride in my car as we go to the Texas A&M vs. LA Tech football game and we pull up to a light. No one else is around, so we look at each other and, you know how it goes. So I rev it to 4500 and release the clutch at green, and he does the same. So my back end starts jumping around, I get traction and take off as he's spinning and sliding around. By the time I look back, I'm in second and he's way behind. Aparently he heard spinning tires, looked at me and thought I was spinning, and thought he had traction. He was wrong and had to let off to get traction.

Either way, one more kill to the list. I personally thought that impreza i raced was more impressive. I dont know, something about turbocharing that i prefer over raw, unrestrained power.

What a dork! I can't believe he just sat there and spun his meats thinking he was on his way.

Nice kill, man.

I own a '00 GT Vert. And a 87 TII.

The TII is way faster but the Mustang feels and sounds faster.

The Best 1/4 mile w/ the stang 14.2

Best w/ TII 13.0

Mustangs are not very fast.

yeah, when we got home, my friend told him it was mostly stock except for an upgraded cam. He didn't get it until we started talking about lightweight pistons, then we started busting out laughing. he said funny cuz its a rotary.

i know what u mean, maybe its torque? my buddies camaro w/ many engines mods, feel WAY faster than my 7. But i beat him to 80 everytime, which was before alot of mods.

torque helps for that fast feeling, and since we have none... it all just comes when youre screaming on the high end

I always get atleats a car length if not 2 off the line, even against fwd! You do dump/slip the clutch off the line right?
