Killed an AWD turbo Talon
#1
So it is Friday night and I'm out with the guys looking for a race. As I am driving I see this guy with a newer Talon( saw him on base earlier that week). I finally catch up to him. When I do he revs and I here his blowoff valve. I was so happy he wanted to race! I haven't had a good race in three weeks. So we go to the end of the strip where all of the Ricers race. Bad choice on my part ( no traction). We get lined up and go. He pulls me out of the hole really bad and kicks my *** by like 7 car lengths. I wasn't to happy about this so I invited him to come to our quiet racing spot later that evening. He accepts...yes!! Later that evening I get a second chance. After running a few races to get warmed up we finally go at it again. This time I get the dream launch( you know the one where your car squats and flies off the line like a bat out of hell) and stay only a half acar length behind him off the line. I make up that half through 1st. I hit second and start pulling away. By third its all over but the crying. The 7 wins!!!!!!!

From: Pimp'n ain't E-Z! But driving ur FD makes it easier!
AWD will just about always beat ya off the line, good thing you got him to race you again...that could have been an ugly reputation for your 7.
Nice kill though :bigok:

My dream launch is coming out the hole 11k on the tac..and 3 feet in the air..shifting into second and still ahead of the car..and still 3 feet in the air..thats a dream launch

Well fortunately for me I own a seven that is street legal. For a seven with a 12 year old suspension and street r rated tires I think that is the best luanch I will get pushing 10 psi on the street. No offense though. Usually when I get a launch like that I end up about 2 car lengths ahead, but like I said he is AWD and they get the best launches on the street.
