HAA!!! Just got done rolling witha BMW Z3.... Went to take a drive in my 89 GTU. nobody really out, and as i passed this guy in a z3 I just kind of waved at him, then he drops a gear and starts to take off. i was positive he would just be able to leave me when he wanted.... but no.. i did the same and laid on the gas. It was such a perfect race, something out of a damn movie i swear!!! He starts heading for a left turning lane, so we both back off a little. into the turn I put it in second, we both swung out of the turn tires spinning. I put it into third and tried to pass him but ended up right at his side again, my nose maybe 1-2 feet from his. I stay with him until we're near 100 and he starts pulling on me

I will never forget that race, it was a classic!!!!!

Theses cars are amazing.

Was it a 2.3 or 3.0? I doubt you'd hang with the 3.0. Congrats nonetheless!

Why not? I'm pretty sure a Turbo II could take a 2.3 or 2.8, not so sure about the new 3.0, though.

 

just dont like ******* with german cars after my brothers 1.8t gti smoked my ***. but that was when my car was stock, now its not. gotta get my car running again first. "oil leak" then ill be back out there driving to work waiting for someone to mess with this 7

I don't know if you're familiar with the Nissan Cefiro, but it's a 4 door Skyline GTS-T RB20-DET straight 6 2.0L turbo.



Anyways, I had some pansy kids rev on my FC when she had a bad clutch, bald tires and an exhaust leak....needless to say, the '94 got killed by my '87...and we're talking bus lengths...like 4 of them by the time I got to 4th gear...



but the Z3...lol...and you hung with him in a non turbo...lol...******* german engineering

the only z3 that is fast is the m roadster, which arent that common on the road. bmw's are overrated :P There were a few consecutive days where I'd end up racing this guy in a 328xi on my way to work, destroyed him every time. Some of those M cars are pretty pimpy though, still overrated. I could tell he was getting pissed that a 1987 mazda that blows smoke when shifting was handing him his ***. At least it's paid for
