This was actually a couple of weeks ago. It was a buddy of mine that is in my unit. He has a 99 Z-28 with an LT-1 (or LS-1?) that has been stroked to a 383. He wanted to run me, so we went @ it. I put up a really good fight considering I launched my car @ like 3-4000. We raced through 2 stoplights. (about 250 yards) He had me by a car length the whole way. Somehow, I started spinning in 2nd. I think I coulda' caught him if that hadn't happened. I hate bowties. I hate em', I hate em', I hate em'!!!! I'm gonna run him again in the next couple of weeks, with a coupla' mods. I'll keep ya'll informed.

 

keep it up... its tough cuz he has the torque advantage. what kinda car were u in?

Street Port N/A. Unless it's there to make the car run....it's been taken off. Pretty good 4 what I got, I guess. I seen him again @ drill this weekend and he didn't wanna go. I guess he got scared! I think he would definitely beat me if he drove it right. He knows that once I get upto about 60MPH, I can gain on him. He was just showin' off all that torque I guess. He won't race me a further distance. BTW, I said yards where I shoulda' said feet. That's alright....when I get this thing blown (SC)...his torque won't compare!!!
