I drive a stock 88 Integra LS (Automatic). It's not much, but it's a good little gar and gets me around until I save and research enough to get a RX-7 (I really thank everyone here for posting problems and fixes for them, it has taught me a lot - I just want to be prepared when I buy the RX-7 so I can maintain it well and understand what I'm doing). Anyways, a friend I work with was getting off at the same time I was, so he asked me to race his Dodge Shadow (automatic, 4cyl, with a turbo - all stock as far as either of us know). I tell him there's not much point, as he'll beat me in a drag hands down, but I say I'd thrash him on a corner. He really wants to race though, so I say okay. We start at a red light, and he beats me easy at about 2 car lengths by 60 mph. We both stop at the next red light, and we decide to race home, and I'll show him how I'll beat his car, even with him having the better acceleration. The course home is a strip of about 200yards, going straight, a 90 degree turn to the left (4 lanes to two lanes) then about 150 yards, a right 90 degree turn, and finally anoter 50 yards tell we will call it quits. I say, if he can stay within 3 car lengths, we'll say he won. We both go, and he drops behind me to about 2 car lengths, then we both start the race. On the first turn, I fly through easily, chirping the tires, and glance in my rearview mirror halfway down the stretch. He's about 9 carlengths back. I finish up and head home. I don't know how far ahead I was, but it was better than 10 carlengths. I asked him the next day and he said that he tried to keep up, but he began losing traction on the turn and had to brake, regain control, and then go. I laughed and told him "buy a lighter car, you'll have more fun that way."

I just figured it was kinda amusing and wanted to share it. I really love cornering, that's why I like light cars. I hope to get an RX-7 and start practicing drifting soon. Like I said, just working on money and research.

thats good man your in the right do your research and save you'll apriciate your car when you've got it.

It took me three years to really save enough! For the car and insurance.

Then one day I was searching through autotrader and BAM there it was, didn't see it the night before and it was close enough to home to check it out. Got a buddy and left the next day to check it out. The day I test drove it I fell in love, The car only has 50k on it and is completely stock I told the guy to let me take it to garage to get it checked out. thing was clean went back to the guy laid 7k on the table and said I'll be back to pick it up next week, plus the rest of the cash.

the next week went up and got and now I'm chillin and killin any thing worth taking as a pride trophy

94 fd touring

paid 15,500 (got a laon to help out) plus a three year warranty covering everything in the under the hood

there are still people calling the guy besides me about the car

I think its still on at www.atlanticautoexchange.com

I still look for better deals none have come up as good as this one, just to see.

My buds are jealous and I'm the leader now I don't know what to do.
