I dont normally street race anymore as I rarely take the TII on the road. I was being harrassed all day by Mustangs and even a Tacoma with a V-6 and duel exhaust. I never played with any of them. When this CRX came along I couldn't resist. The road was really empty ahead so what the hell I went for it:



I wasnt even funny. I was turning the corner and saw him behind me shadowing. I went past my friends shop and he saw us. He called my Nextel and told me to watch out that the car was quick. He told me it was a mid 80's CRX with a J-spec B-16 swap. He pulled along side me and hit it. I wasn't ready for him so he got a car on me as I downshifted. I hit it through 2nd and started to pull but missed 3rd!! Dammit!! I grabbed 3rd and started to catch him and go by but let off due to traffic ahead.



We cought a light.



I looked over and told him his car was quick. He like the compliment. I asked if he ran 1/4 mile? He responded with a proud 14.7!! I really tried hard not to laught at him.



I told him I had no idea what mine does as its really a track car that I just took to my mechanics to be teched for a race this weekend. (the teching the car was the truth my forgetting I ran a 13.08 at the track was a lie) I told him I would play with him from the light though. He said from a slow roll.



(I hate slow roll races!! --- If you cannot launch you car you have no business racing it!!)



I agreed and told him it would bog me down.



We rolled off the light. I heard him hit it and I punched it. I was busy rowing the shifter through 1st and 2nd I looked up right before my 3rd shift and I was easily 10-15 cars in front. I punched through 3rd and put an easy 30 cars between us.



I was turning left at next light as he was turnng right I looked over to give him a thumbs up but he wouldn't look at me. Poor guy I crushed him.

what were you thinking lol... i like imports alot more than i used to b4 i got my RX-7 but to me the crx still looks like a piece of crap. In fact once modded it looks even worse lol

 

hehe, I wish I had seen it...It is demoralizing when they think thier car is fast and then along comes a sleeper and rips them a new one.
