It all began as a race between my friend in a silver 300zx TT slightly moded and a 2003 C-5 corvette, the vet from what the owner told us, he has at least these mods full exhaust system, upgraded ram air, computer that is all tuned out and a NX wet nitrous setup instead of a dry set up. From what he told us he did use the nitrous threw the hole race and he told us that it sprays a 100 shot on bottom end and 150 shot at top end. The vet and the Z tried to do a 1/4 mile run but every where we went their where cops, so my buddy in the 300zx asked if I knew of any where else they cold run and the only thing I could think of was the high way but it's obviously not going to be a 1/4 mile run but they both liked the idea so we then proceeded to the high way. the first two runs they did I did not get involved but my buddy in his 300zx tied the first race and lost the second. So I decided that I would but in on the third run. The vet got in the right lane the 300zx got in the left lane and I was about a car and a half behind the 300zx. As we where going about 65mph I could hear the vet honk three times and we where off. The vet and the Z where head to head nether one really pulling on each other the funny part was I was on and off the throttle about 4 times so would not rear end my friends car. Then all of a sudden the vet started to pull on the Z so I dashed to the left lane and started to pass my buddy so he generously let off so I could pull in the right lane in front of him when I got back in the right lane the vet was about a car ahead off me but that wasn't good enough I started to real him back in, got beside him looked and just kept on going and passed him. After all of this we drove back in to town and pull in to a parking lot and we talked about the race and come to find out after I passed the vet he let off the throttle at 150mph and that same time a was at 160 mph so all in all it was the best race I have had hear in Abilene Texas. And the 7 wins again.
