I want to install 2 10" subs into my storage bins (89 gxl). I know this has been done before. Just wondering what would work best as far as materials to use, or just ideas in general.

There was this one guy that used spray fiberglass on the cloth bag, but he needed like 3 or 4 coats of it, and I dont know how good that would sound anyway. It's pretty oddly shaped on the body below the bins, so a wooden box would be pretty hard to fit in there... I dont know, but I already ordered the subs, so I gotta get my *** in gear.

thanks.

I've been thinking about fiberglassing to get the basic shape of where the bag normally is. but instead of trying to attach that directly to the plastic, I would use pieces of mdf as a frame attached to the inside of the plastic part. Then bring the fiberglass over the top of it, to make one solid bowl with a lip to attach another piece of mdf to the top.

Air tight thumpin. btw did you have to put dynamat or something else around the bottom of it or anything?

i have also been thinking of that but do u do it as one peice or do two seperate boxes. where and how do u make the boxes not move in there what can u like nail it down to. too make sure it doesnt move or fall out of place. I would like to do that because then no one iwll ever seee where the musik is coming from when they look inside lol.

Wher do u guys keep ure amps behind the driver or pasenger seat or where the spare tire is?

I'm putting each 10" sub in there own bin/box. I already 'fixed' the lids to let sound through and they look stock... I'll put pictures up soon to show how I'm doing it and I can tell you how it works out.
