Vosko.... to answer your question depends on what you're looking for

If you want speakers that are really clear and clear not too much bass but some for a good price

Kenwood excelons are nice they make a nice set of components in the 5 1/4" size and a nice 3 way in the 6X8 size

The higher level Pioneers are good too and you can get those at under 150 for either from the right place

if you wanna spend a bit more...

MB quart components front and back for good all around sound not too much bass

or JL audio components for good all around and a bit more bass

if you want more help let me know and I can get you exact p/n's that I've personally tested and found to perform well

ok well you can get those brands in non component form as well

the part number is just slightly different

those are still my suggestions based off of numbers I've seen and prices and all the other variables

actually if you wanna go with Kenwoods check ebay. There are a lot of wholesalers always selling their stuff up there. Just a thought .... that's where I get most of my stuff from and I've found most of em up there for about 1/2 of what you pay in the retail stores

my thoughts exactly, personally I would stay far away from Kenwood speakers, Kenwood hasnt made quality components since the early 90's, Blaupunkt has also been garbage since they stopped making it in Germany.

Basically Car Audio is all a matter of taste, unless you see the test numbers right in front of you. I like infinity's as well, but I think they're better for classical and since I don't listen to much if any of that I stay away from them. It all depends on what you listen to and what type of a mix of sound you want.
