Well, here is my first attempt at a more modern style dash for the RX-Midget. Each of the pods will be cut out when done so the Ultra-lite gauges can fit in. They are all angled to point right at me while seated in the car.

The large pod is for the tach. I am getting rid of the ugly shift light and installing a 5 led sequential shift light (F1 style)that will be built into the dash.

I found an easy way to make parts like this using some strange materials, but it still took a lot of time The outer layer is fiberglass and I am going to get it covered in carbon fiber to get "the look".

Gauges will be from left to right:

Fuel level, Volts, water temp, Oil press, oil temp, 160 Mph speedo, air/fuel, tach.

Yep, Mark is going to cover it so I know it will look good

The gauges will all be Autometer Ultralight's with the aluminum (silver) face and will have the greenish blue backlights in them.

I'm getting rid of the ugly big autometer shift light and using this shift light but will mount it in the dash instead of in the little box that it comes in.

I'm getting the pro unit with the aux box to use for video data collection of my driving while on the track.
