im not going out to my car now, why not just take a test light to the fuse panel and test each fuse as you try the lights.

lights turn on by a switch not a fuse

they might have a inline fuse or the one in the fuse box

the fuse in the fuse box should give your switch power, which comes on when ignition is on not light

i hooked mine up to the ignition so when the car is on the guages r to

if u want the light switch way drop the steering consule pastic and light test wires that come from the switch until u get the right one

I know how a light switch works.

If you were to put a test light on the fuse in the fuse panel when you turn the lights on it would illuminate, and the test light would not illuminate when you turn the lights off. So that would answer his question of how to find the headlight fuse.

You can buy a simple connection at either Radio Shack or a auto parts store that allows you to jump power from a fuse panel with the fuse in place, basically it sticks a male connection out, you remove the fuse, put the adaptor in, then put the fuse back, and what you have is a male connecter that you can put a female connector on. When you turn on that item that fuse powers whatever you wire up to it will also turn on.

Running a wire alllllll the way to the front of the car is a hack job and not needed. If you want a super simple place to get switched power for the dash lights, grab it from the ciggarette lighter.

Just snag power from the cig lighter if the project is giving you that much

your ligher has a light around the bezel that comes on with your headlights, get my drift now? Not the power wire for the lighter itself, the wire for the light bulb that connects to it.

You do have those gauges grounded properly right?
