Anyone tried this diet? I gained a lot of wait when I went on the prednisone, need to get it off, but man there is pretty funky concepts in the book, just reading it now.

well, it's a bit of a long story, but first off I have only one kidney, was borm that way and it doesn't work correctly, so I went to this ******* quack doctor that put me on 160 mg's of prednisone, which come to find out from my new dr is near lethal and would not have done anything for me, which it did not.

So keeping the story short, when i was on it I added about 25 to 30 lbs and now that I am off of it I am going to try and get rid of it. Everyone is all about Atkins, but I can't do that, the protein overload could potential damage my kidney, meaning I need a low protein diet.

This Zone diet is basically, from what I have read so far a low/no carb diet, balancing the rest of the foods and limiting porportions, HUGE proportion limits, like 3 ounces of turkey for dinner and ****.

I don't eat a lot, I stay even on my weight, even now that I am off the drugs, I have not gained a pound, but not lost any either.

If you are correctly metabolizing your current food intake, I see no real reason to cut back on intake.. Maybe just burn more instead. Sounds like a diet could be potentially dangerous for you, and I'd hate to have to start a 'Get well Scott' fund.

Walk at a brisk pace a few miles every morning. MAybe 30-45 minutes along with a diet like this. You'll shed weight like 4RR sheds little boys underwear!

Yea, I work out 2 to 4 times a week for about 30 minutes. My Dr recommended this Zone diet, maybe I should cut out the carbs, but not cut back on the intake. I am addicted to bread I swear.
