a body shop down the street just got this tubro 2 in, its an 88 turbo 2, its damaged way beyond repair, the shop was tinkering with the idea they could fix it up and sell it but they dont really want to any more, i can buy it for 200 bucks but what should i look for? i cant believe this is just down the street, the motor and drivetrain look ok but the driveshaft looks like its bent like an arch. ive got a second car to drive and am contemplating whether i should buy it? it has 123,000 miles on it. what should i look for, i would like to try to make my 88 gxl a turbo 2, i know it would be a lot of work too, a lot espeacially from what i have read on this site, its like a godsend almost, my buddy just wrecked his del sol and some people told me to buy a turbo 2 instead, so here it is? what should i inspect on it?it doesnt run so i cant really drive it, i know what to look for on a n/a rx7 but not on a turbo 2? from looking at it everything under the hood looks good but the high milage isnt to good. im trying to contact the previous owner of it to see how it ran before it was totalled.any help very appreciated. later :bigok:

For $200 you can't gp wrong, you can part it out and make way more that that

 

what happened to the del sol? i say if u were already thinking about giving up a running 7 for a del sol, dont mess with the beat down 7 cause ur not gonna have the patience to go through all the problems its gonna have.

uh man i never said i was going to get the del sol, if you read the first post on that thread and then the last post youd know whats going on and trust me i do have patients, lots of it too,ive had a more fucked up life than most people have ever had. anyways i never though about the parts on it or being able to sell it for more than what they want for it. the body shop should even know that,lol later
