I tried changing lanes but was a bit late, at least I didnt hit him head on. The car drove away amazingly. I was going to pick a race on the way home but the car looked like ******* junk at that point. That was back in 1989 mind you.

I had no money, no insurance for collision, plus I hit the guy from behind/side so it was my fault.

I ended up taking the drivetrain out and putting it in a Cutlass that my friend was going to junk becuase he had blown the 6cyl engine in it.

I drove the Cutlass for year or so with that engine, then I took it out, rebuilt it and put it in a 1980 Z-28 that I bought with no engine in it, and a new 454 went in the Cutlass.

Almost right except it had a back seat, wasnt a 2 seater.

Engine was a 350, over .30, 11:1 compression, 64cc heads 2.02/1.60 valves, .580/.600 lift Crane cam, Edelbrock performer manifold ( all I could get to fit under the hood ) with a 750 Holley double pumper, HEI ignition with MSD 6, Edelbrock headers with 3" Gale Banks exaust.

Car still had 2.73s or something like that in the rear, the top end was incredible, I was messing with a vette on the highway a few weeks after the car was done, my throttle stuck open, thanks to that small ******* air cleaner, when I was in front of him, I had no choice but to shut the car down. I pulled over, and so did he, he told me he was doing 145 and he was maxed out. I had no idea being as my car speedo only went to 85, and that was with a Turbo 350 tranny which was only a 3 speed.
