cant comment on the industry as a whole, but our parts sales are linked to how well the cars were selling 2-3years prior, units in operation. we charted out our dealerships car sales since ralph started, 11/04, and where they used to sell a consistent 100 cars a month, they are now selling 30ish. seems to us its mostly due to the knuckleheaded owner, making dumb changes. we used to have a consistent sales staff, but since they left about a year ago, we've prolly rotated thru a new one every 6 weeks?
actually i just heard about the local VW scene. i guess the big gun around here was selling 5000 a year, now the big gun is selling 30ish... i'm thinking it might have something to do with them being total piles of crap, but again i have no idea.

GM went up 6.5% today alone.
