How come whenever I go into a certain topic area I am seeing none of the threads that it says it has??? For instance... when I go into the 3rd gen specific section it says that there are 3,389 topics but only 3 show up when i enter it. I've VERY lost at this.

No problem - there's a date filter on.

Go to the lower-right part of the screen and it has criteria under which the posts will be displayed. Change the date to 'all' and it'll be kosher.
