ok so i found an ad for a carb, manifold and a few extra goodies, for 299 obo. So, i offer him 300 shipped. didnt think it was to bad of a deal.

so then he tells me that a few local ppl have offered him 300 and theyll pick it up, besides, he says, shipping should be like 15 bucks.

So i offer him 315.

Then he tells me that he spoke to someone at racing beat and that setup sells for like 800, so hes gonna raise his asking price to 600 obo.

I mean I dont need it, but it still would have been nice to have. my father has the same setup but downdraft for his project and he paid 300 shipped from PR.

Whatever. That would have been my second side draft 48. And im running fuel injection.

sorry. i needed to tell someone.

I would tell him to **** off that's low, once you agree on the price you stick to it. I wouldn't send him a dime he'll prolly take your money and run!

Actually legally speaking I believe you can sue him, although for a $300 carb setup it wouldn't be worth the legal fees... He said I want $300, you said you'd give him $300, assuming he hadn't sold it to someone else already, that's a legally binding deal.

I like the "tell him to go **** himself" line myself.
