my dog seems to get them for no apparent reason. hell just be sitting there and BAM! and then once he gets one he just stops. he wont move at all until it goes away. what the dil-e-oh?

nah, he was just sittng there on the bed not doing anything, then it came out, and he wouldnt move when i was calling him.
