it is 100% impossible i did a year of automotive engineering in college where we worked on a viper.... it is as was stated earlier. what okay lets go with this idiot idea:
1st weld 4cylinder crank to 2 3 cylider cranks (one from each bank of the v6) okay you have and inline 10 ...... so you have 3 cranks welded together and they equal an inline 10. now what ?
2nd you chop the new welded to gether inline 10 crankshaft in half?
okay then...
3rd re-balance it and smooth it down.
this is ridiculous
but i also will add when i was in college the automotive professor stated that the maker/designer/owner of ferrari's was named mr.ferrari he was a ****** idiot . just because they are professors doesnt mean they know everything. also you stated that the book said that fact about the crankshafts .... why do i find that hard to believe that a broad automotive book trying to cover automotive info would just "throw" a fact about a vipers crankshaft in it.
4th i used to be a tech. for diamler/chrysler back in 200-2001 the neons and the caravans crank shafts are of a different perportion.
i vote 100000000% on this one... and theres 100 more other reason i know this wouldnt work to much to get into!
