however it can be hard to work with
Now i don't remember if it supports dual monitor or not but there is a program Made by Arcsoft called showbiz works kinda like Imovie you can give that a shot and see if it works on dual monitor

i used to use premiere, but it can be hard to do the smallest tasks in it. Now i use ulead media studio. Basically everything you need you can do .... unless you want to get into extreme effects and go with an industry professional program. Its up to you.

REally depends on the complexity of what you wanna do. Something simple? Use your OS's built in aplication (imovie or Moviemaker 2). If you want something higher than that there's the low end stuff like Pinnacles Edition, Ulead Media, Premiere etc. Higher end you can go for Avid XpressDV or Pro software on PC and Final Cut Pro on Mac.
