Street Legal 4-wheelers?
#1
At the homecoming of one of the colleges in Tallahassee, the streets pack solid with cars, many of which have blingin' rims, tv's in headrests, and other neato goodies. I saw a 4-wheeler on a trailer with 20" rims on it. If motorcycles can ride on the street, can we have street-legal 4-wheelers? That would be kinda cool.

there are streetlegal conversion kits which add:
license plate mounts
turn signals
rear view mirrors
need street tires
brake light integration
upgraded head lights
some atv's require frame reconstruction or stronger supports to be put in. Some places also require a cab like area to be put onto the atv, while others simply call for a helmet.
You then have to go through i believe a motorcycle registration which you must get special approval for IIRC, and then convince your insurance company thats you arent asking to get rear-ended and smashed into bits, then it's all good.
I've seen them before, and no the street legals ones i've seen dont roll on 22"s and ****...that is just dumb ****.

I had a full race-ready three wheeler, lightened/rebuilt frame, bored out engine, new hi-perf. everything, then i nailed one of those giant ant-hill mounds during a race in NY on a straightaway portion of a rather large race-track. Upon hitting the mound with my right-rear tire it proceeded to launch me straight off the bike, throw it a good 20 feet or more in the air while flipping over, it then eventually came down right on my left arm and luckily for me managed to bounce away from crushing my body. I hit the mound at full throttle, down hill, in 5th gear. If you've ever seen a race-ready ATC, you know the front forks are strong...well this was such a severe crash i managed to completely snap my front fork of the bike. I wish i still had that 3-wheeler now i got 2 crappy 4 wheelers...they're so boring lol.
