Indianapolis, IN - Recently the RX7 Revolution event staff polled RX7 owners on the topics that would most benefit them and their cars.



One of the uppermost topics voted on has been tuning your rotary vehicles. So, we went out and brought in one of, if not, the best. Steve Kan of Gotham Racing (www.gothamracing.com) will be speaking on “Basic Tuning Technique with Datalogit and Haltech Overview” during the 11:00 – 11:45 AM Seminar during the day on April 26th, 2003.



Mr. Kan will be covering such issues as:



Understanding how a/f ratio affects performance and reliability

Understanding the types of tuning

How to tune timing in a rotary

How to tune a/f ratio in a rotary

How to adjust split timing for best performance

How far can you boost based on fuel octane rating

Understand basics of compensation maps

Datalogit Software Overview

Haltech Software Overview



Steven Kan has been working on rotary vehicles since 1994. He and his rotary vehicles have been featured in Turbo, SuperStreet, Sport Compact Car, Mazdaspeed Calendar 2002, and other magazines/websites. Mr. Kan has also won numerous awards in both drag and road racing. Some of his awards are:



Regional ASP Class Regional Champion – Atlanta

Third overall SCCA ITA Regional Championship – 1999

Second overall 2001 NHRA

Third overall 2001 IDRC

Third overall 2001 NOPI

Come on, what's a few extra hours driving between friends



I'm about to make the event even more hard to resist over the next few days. Finalizing what I hope are deals with Pettit and Rotary Performance soon. And just waiting for the write-ups for press releases on the next two session/seminar speakers.
