Well, I THOUGHT I had a sponsor for paint, nothing on paper were still working out the details to it, but then they backed out on me "we're still trying to get our stuff together starting/adding on the performance shop to the business so we dont really have the money to sponsor people right now"

Yet they want me to pay full price for the paint job AND THEN SHOW MY CAR IN THEIR BOOTH!!! **** THAT..... If I have to pay full price I am not parking my car anywhere near their booth cause what is the point. Why should I advertise for them if they arent going to help me out.

You have to ***** yourself out. Go to a lot of shows, before and after you get sponsorship. It's too much work for me. And I don't want my car being covered in stickers.

1st thing---go to shows!

2nd thing win shows!

--once you prove you have a competitive car you have something to build on

I compete in tons of stereo contests ,after i started winning i contacted the manufacturers of the equipment i was using.

I got sponsored by Hifonics very nicely--but the bad side is ,your sponser will want you to go to events you really dont want to get involved in.

having a sponsor is like getting a blow job.....get the right one, and its all good, and you leave wnating more.....get a bad* one-too much tooth action, and you will be gun shy.....get it...

i competed car audio for most of the nineties. i was sponsored by boston acoustics and eclipse/fujitsu-ten.....they hooked me up with free **** left and right....

everyone else is right. i have so many letters out right now it is insane. i think of everything that i like about a company and how their product on MY car will greatly help their publicity, especially since i am here in the south and there are not many fd's around here and what not. i am going to accept that shady sponsorship from the other thread that i started, and hope tha tafter i fulfill my obligation to them, that might fully sponsor my car....however, i know that it needs to be in a magazine to get the real $$ money rolling in, so this is what i am shooting for....
