Unless they did some dratic changes at Ft Bragg, the US Army's airborne school is at Ft Benning, GA. I was at Bragg for over 3 years. Lots of LZ's...but no school to speak of unless you count 82nd reception...
but heres the deal:
PREREQ MOS (11B) - basic and AIT at benn -- 14 weeks
PREREQ - airborne at benn -- 3 weeks
PREREQ - i think ranger school? at bragg -- 5 weeks
Training Path - im guessing some training for my SF job at benn -- 3 weeks
then after that i go into my training of choice, which so far isnt declared....

You need to start training your back pronto. Grab 90 lbs and stick it in a back pack and start ruck marching hills...You'll need to do a minimum of 25 miles

He's not bullshitting. Get used to covering large distances with lots of gear. You didn't pick the path of least resistance.

It's tough...no other words to describe it.
I like having my feet planted firmly on the ground and having weekends off with a beer in hand...not jumping out of airplanes at 3 am on a saturday into some camel infested rat hole they call a country....but that's just me.
