Ok I have to step in and give my two cents, I'm glad everyone here had great experiences with them but I wish I could say the same but I can't. There's always two sides to the story but I guess I just had really bad luck over there.

1) I got my entire radio system stolen from the shop (not the shops fault + I was reimbursed for) I agreed to get reimbursed only 3/5 of the value of the system if T&R agreed to complete fixing my car and make it run perfect (didn't happen).

2) I brought the car in because my car overheated once and I wanted to solve the problem, they said my coolant seal went so I said fine fix it. They told me I needed a rebuild and it would cost $2,200, I didn't argue with the price or anything because I also have heard great things about T&R so I left my car there (let it be known that my car just had a rebuild and ported the motor had about 5k miles on it and had 15-16 inches of vaccum - Performance Motorsports in NJ did the motor and can attest for it.

3) My car was completed promptly, I believe in about 3 weeks to 1 month. I went to pick my car up and there it was sitting there pig rich stumbling with bumpy idle, I went to look at the vaccuum guage and guess what 9 inches of vaccuum on a newly built streetported motor. They proceeded to tell me that its ok the vaccuum will build and 10-12 inches for a streetported motor ain't bad? I'm sorry but I know bridgeports with 10 inches of vaccuum not a newly rebuilt streetported motor which had 15-16 inches of vaccum before. I told them that the motor had 15-16 inches before even though they test drove my car before they said that they didn't know it had 15-16 inches of vaccum because I didn't point it out ahead of time. So I didn't argue I said ok fine just please make sure this car runs ok, why is the idle so bumpy why is my oil sensor light on all the time, how come my check engine light is on. They proceeded to tell me that my Power FC was not tuned right. I could understand that so I sent my PFC out to XS I think it was and had them tune my PFC for my single turbo and bam got it back plugged it in and not much better. Then they said it was my alternator and it had gone bad so I they gave me one of theirs which I appreciated and well my car ran like **** it was missing everywhere, totally differnt then when I had brought it there. My car was running perfect when I brought it there only thing I was worried about was the overheating, because it overheated once. By the way no compression test was done on the car they said that I needed seals just by looking at the car, the car was not smoking or anything.

4) My car overheated again after I got it back from T&R and was assured that everything was ok even though my car ran like **** and it was leaking 1 quarts of oil every week or so. So I went back several times to try to fix this, turns out I spotted the problem myself, it was my pulley kit... I was able to stop my waterpump with my fingers (not a good sign)... Now I realized what had happened, see I have a greddy pulley kit and my alternator had to be replaced and when the mechanic replaced my alternator they sent my pulley kit with the alternator and then attached a diff belt to the new alternator which caused slippage on load, and thus the overheating. So that was the issue, spotted by me... T&R was nice enough to give me a pulley kit and alternator and belt of one of their cars (credit where credit is due). Car ran just ok but still leaking oil, vacuum sitting at 10 inches, car idles from 500-1300 and then dies occassionaly, all lights dim when brakes are stepped on, oil warning light comes on sporatically.

5) Took it to KDR (like i should've done from the very beginning), turns out the following:

a) 2nd gen motormount bolt put on my 3rdgen block causing excessive oil leaks and almost cracked my block and stripped the thread, who built my motor last? (T&R)

b) oil sensor cable was dangling and broken at the time

c) oil breather tube was dangling causing additional oil leaks

d) wastegate dump bike was broken off

e) portion of PowerFC fried (I can't let my PFC control the fans, the PowerFC ground was screwed up) guess who last installed my PFC? (T&R)

f) whole host of disconnected hoses and such

All this I had to pay for out of my pocket, I've asked T&R numerous times to help me fix my car, despite all thats happened:

1) whole system stolen $3500-$4000 worth, got $2500

2) Power FC commander cut and stolen

3) center interior panel damaged, never bothered to ask T&R to fix that (I'm not into petty ****)

4) T&R used my remote start by mistake and smashed up my bumper, which they painted and fixed with bondo.

5) lost 5-6 inches of vaccum on newly rebuild motor that had 15-16 inches of vaccum before.

6) Leaking oil like crazy

7) tons of electrical problems

I've kept all this to myself but couldn't take it anymore when I saw the post from people that are recommending T&R based on hearsay. Given they did do some good work they screwed up big time on my car and have not done anything to help me. I've spent tons of money at KDR trying to undo what T&R did, meanwhile I paid T&R $2,200 for what? to lower my vacuum have my car overheat one more time, my entire system stolen, leak oil, have electrical problems, my power fc shorted out???

wow, dude I'm terribly sorry that happened to you. Are you going to do anything with T&R to get them to help you pay for some of the damages or anything? What have they said about all of this?
