Silicon Hose
#1
I figured this could be for all cars, so I post in GenD.
So where do you guys purchase silicon vacuum hoses? Is that something I have to order, or do auto parts stores carry it?
And since this is GenD, feel free to hijack and ***** the thread, and post pics of other applications of silicon.
and while I'm here: What is the major benefit of silicon hoses? Do zipties have to be used?

Hose Techniques stuff is good, zip tie's help with the hose's not popping off. You can also use a dab of super glue. Silicon hoses are less likey to become brittle from age/heat.
Most part's store's carry silicone hoses now, or you can get them from just about any speed shop.

what makes people not wanna run rubber? the fact that it doesnt last 20 years? the fact that other stuff comes in colors and looks better? is there really a problem with unmodded to lightly modded cars running the rubber stuff?
