FREE MUSIC FOR EVERYONE!!! Who cares if d/l is legal or not, the execs that are sueing everyone break the law every day, by speeding, illegally parking, driving on expired tags. You guys have got this stuff completely wrong, it has absolutley nothing to do with music, it's all about the green. If the execs were still making their ferrari payments on time, nobody would give two shits.
I say **** em, they can't sue us all, and there are still ~ amount of songs downloaded for every law suit, going on, so they are fighting a losing battle. They call us crooks when they've been stealing musicians souls for that past hundred years, and not even compensating 99% of them enough to live w/o a part time job. Anyone defending these scum should be kicked in the nuts. It's all about the green. |

I only read the first page but heres the thing about the artists being "hurt"
“I didn’t ask them to protect me, and I don’t want their protection.” – Disturbed frontman David Draiman reacts to the RIAA taking legal action against people who’ve been downloading songs. The problem is that unless you're a mega mega quad platinum billionaire like Celine Dion, you really don't make very much money off of record sales, you make all of your money touring. I even read an article written by a small, not well known musician who usually ends up OWING the record company money at the end of each month for record sales. point made. |

i wish people would stop going around trying to force belief systems on me. never fails when something is declared "illegal", there's someone telling you you're a bad person because you don't follow the law. i'm pretty sure everyone on this board breaks the law on a daily basis (speed limits...) but thats a victimless crime right? so its ok....
the only person i want telling me whats wrong and right is the person that has done absolute good and absolute evil in there lifetime. thats the only person i believe really knows the difference, since i've never met this person yet. i'll have to decide for myself about myself. i have a hard enough time living my life, how can i tell someone else how to live theirs? the only people that really have a problem with file sharing are RIAA and extremists who see fit to tell you, you're bad and be like them cause they're good. if more people in this world would think for themselves and not regurgitate thoughts drilled into their heads by others. i'm pretty sure a majority of people would be much happier. in the end the music companies will give in and start selling music cheaper, people will still download music, the "Do Good" extremists will still try to force their beleifs on us, criminals will still do bad stuff, and all us rotary folks will still break the speed limit on a daily basis in this half-sane but crazy world of ours. Loi Belief system? You're an idiot. It's the law you jackass, not a belief system unless of course you want to do away with law in which case you need to be the first in line. Don't do the crime unless you want to do the time. I speed, I accept the risk of getting busted for it and paying a ticket. You download illegal music, you get busted, don't come crying about it and don't try to justify it. It's illegal. Period. Get over it. Dolt. |
Most times I write as english is spoken, or at least the main stream form of english. A pet peeve of mine is people that put z's where s's go and and what not. d3wd sp3@k.
Anyways, I'm thinking the sentance would stand against my english teacher. I'll spring it on 'em tomorrow and find out. She has NO sense of humour. |
So if a friend of mine wants to borrow a CD from me I shouldn't let him? Or if I'm playing a CD at my house and a friend comes over, should I turn it off? All because he didn't buy the copyright to that CD? **** that! The songs I've downloaded are all songs that I had on CD at one point but were stolen out of my car. Or were once on a tape and now I want them on CD. Like I would spend another $20 on something I've already paid for once. I'm a musician as well, and personally, I don't like record companies. Sure they can give you money and improve your lifestyle but all the while ******* you from behind. Musicians always get screwed by companies. I'd rather play with my band all day and barely make enough money to pay my bills then work for a money hungry recording company.
