Did yu ask them about some type of "patial rental" ? the are clubs around the area that hold events there, but the grounds are not 100% theirs. Usually they split the day. For example there is one event called "waterfest" a VW/audi show. It's a 2 day show with racing, however the track is still open to the public as far as spectators and/or racers. They just set up one area for the show, and have certain times set up for them to race.
That would probably limit it to only drag racing I am guessing. But, it's not a bad idea.

Which is why Carolina MOTORSPORTS PArk is ideal. NOT a MONEY_GRUBBING perdon who has no interest in renting his facility out!

I said I'd come, car or not, but you have to see others' points of view. What about the West Coast people? How will they travel across the country for one or two days of whatever? Having the event/s in the Midwest is really fair to everyone.

Plus, the west coast has 7Stock, the east coast has Rotorfest, and the MIDWEST was way overdue on a large scale event and we too finally got it in the Revolution.

I think it's fine like this, but if we want to talk technicalities and driving events in specific, then why not have a DRIVING EVENT on the EC next year, the MW the year after, and the WC in 2006. That way everybody is happy and they still have their respective large gatherings in between.
see we're not saying "no midwest revolution" we're saying have a revolution scaled event on the east coast.

rotorfest is getting there from what i heard and the pics ive seen but compared to 7stock and revolution it's not as big...YET.

i think if jay and vos just keep growing with rotorfest eventually we'll have one of the largest events available. hell all of the people there came via word of mouth.

btw, would this be a full weekend thing? i think that would be awesome... like get one huge hotel and get a special rate... so all these rotary fanatics would be stationed in one building!

I'd be there in a heartbeat! The eastcoast rocks with some real nice cars.

Anyone check out Virginia Motorsports Park (VMP). I know they drag race and I think they have a huge lot for auto-x.

Edit - VMP info.
