I'm thinking it should be a little further south then Rotorfest, then maybe more of the guys from the south would show up. If you advertise far enough in advance I think we could do well over 100 cars. **** there was over 100 at Rotorfest...right?

Possibly the place where MADS is?
i agree with him. If its a lil further south we have equal driving distance for the southernens and the northerners. The guys who live in the middle have no excuse not to come and so they would have to put a lil more efforet since they live so close and they can make our stay there a lil better recommending hotels or waht not or whose house is better to crash when there drunk. what im trying to say is

IM DOWN!!!

Jason NYC

P.S i dont or wouldnt mind driving far is i got 50 Rotarys cars with me , its makes for a great ride lol...with scheduled pitstops and **** so we can remain mostly together....

id go, and id bring acouple of friends with 7's, that hotel thing sounds cool, and we could prob work something out i could just see the hotel parking lot full of 7's. btw the first week of spring is also a good idea. somebody should take charge and plan this out
WELL I AGREE with him, about getting a hotel all together so we can get a low rate and plus we have a parking lot full of sevens. In matter of fact i dont hink anyone will sleep everyone wil be outside checking out each others cars and stuff. I think we should expand rotorfest eyar after year and let that take us to a bigger event. Trying to make a big event is a lot of work and can be hard if know one comes (not likely, but take into consideration all possibilities B/c things always happen when u least expect them)..

IT sounds good and its going to be great. A total rotary event. HEy are we going to turn back people who try to get in with pistons engines. They have to show proof they own a 7 or sumthing lol.

I dunno

This event would never work @ e-town. Not in the way we would want it. To get the whole track for a day or 2 would cost a fortune, I know, I checked it out. We could share the day with other clubs/events, but then it would'nt be a true rotary event.

Just keep your eyes on the Rotorfest posts in the NERA section. This year Rotorfest 4 will be bigger than ever, possibly with new events and attractions. The NE is all about rotorfest, ask anyone here if you don't know. People drive 500-1000 miles to get here for the event!!

They were willing to rent you the track? I called and asked and the guy was not willing to rent it out for a weekend.

they would, in early spring, or late fall, not in the prime season. Even still the price figures were just crazy. Basically E-town has 2 lots, 1 on each side of the drag strip. What can be done for smaller clubs is to have on side to yourself, and the other goes to another club, or e-town just holds an event of their own on the other side. Againg price quote was terrible. They are too big, and they know it.
