This is a really odd ad even for MTV

Not that I disagree with it at all, it just seems odd for mainstream media. It's pretty well done too. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eKa9wNCOnUM"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eKa9wNCOnUM" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

wow, is that a shot at obama's potential socialism/commie ties? i didnt listen, only watched but it seemed like it was saying we need to be careful for our freedoms or our govt could do the same as what happened in germany. I guess another message could be you must fight for freedom or lose it....but that seems a bit over the top if thats the message intended.
it could simply be a way to make people remember/understand and feel for those killed/displaced/injured from the holocaust and be able to "connect" to it.... btu again i dont see that.

All the Germans were doing before the war is displacing jews so the germans could move into the prominent positions. Displacing the jews turned into putting jews into camps and while they were in camps they were seen as sub-human and once that happened they were treated as junk and disposed of. The drastic action was caused by public demand and Hitler doing what he thought he should as a leader....if Martial law happens this puts poor people in the hands of wealthy people and the same thing can happen to create a utopean society by cleansing the filth.

hmm this ad still intrigues me.
id email mtv to figure it out but id get nowhere.
edit: went to think.mtv.com....i now think the point of the ad is simply "it can happen to anyone" which fits the simplistic nature of mtv.
