There are alot of na's for sale around here now in the paper there is a SE and a conv. but thats about it for the second gen here around me. There is a conv. up the road from me that id like to buy but i dont know if the guy would sell it. So if i cant get a TII would you say go with a third gen or na?

hey get one from autotrader or ebay. i know where a TII is for 1200. i think the guy would take 800 cash for it. It needs a rebuild on the engine. I know where one is that just got a new engine, but i dont know how much that one is.

You're going to be making 10000-12000 per year, and you're were thinking about spending 5000 of that in insurance? Is that 10-12k before or after taxes? FYI I pay about 1/3 of my income into taxes, something to keep in mind.
I think you made the right decision. Wait until you're out of school and have a better job...

Yea, man you going to spend half your pay in insureance and the other half on the payment and gas. What happends if it breaks down, or you have to buy plugs, wires, or a fuel filter. Or if you want to take a girl out.
I think the insurance on the 3rd gen knocks it out of the running for now. Wait a few more years and then see about getting one.

Sometimes you got to realize your means and stay within them. Othertimes its not the fact that you CAN pay for something, its the fact that do you want to work JUST to pay for a lousy car and insurance?? Not for nothing, GOOD FREAGIN LUCK getting a bank to write you a used car loan for a car thats 10 years old. IF you get a loan, you will have AT LEAST 14% interest, thats if anyone will even write the loan, banks dont like to write loans for 10 year old cars, let alone to kids with no credit. If you know some people who will write a loan, then you may be in better luck, I have a guy who writes loans for cars other people wont, like if you wanted a ZR-1 vette, or a used Viper, or a used Ferrari, because he isnt some ******* pencil pushing dweeb sitting in a bank who doesnt know the value of things. But again- you pay for these loans. So with insurance, and payment, you will be looking at AT LEAST $800-1000 a month..... to drive a 10 year old Mazda with no warranty?

Keep in mind if you get a 3rd gen thak they require more maintenance than most of my ex-girlfriends (that's alot). So it sounds like every last dime will be going into the car, is that what you want? And there is the whole engine blowing issue that all (stock) 3rd gens seem to have.
