I have a 1984 first gen rx7, that i just recently picked up. After a good tuneup and some accel ignition coils i wated to know what my stock timing degree is and how much i can advance it to gain some extra horsepower. Future mods are RB headers and exhaust. Thank you for your help in this matter.

I have an 84..I have stuff done but its not ported yet...I dont use a timing gun..I have a Holley 600 dbl pumper and I set the idle at 1k then air to fuel mixtures to match the timing...

I just have it set a little more than half way on the distribitor timing adjuster screw..

Some times I have to rev the engine while setting adjustments up to 7k..make sure its getting unuff fuel etc..make sure its not studdering..

WTF does a bridge port have to do with timing. Are you sitting on your head?
