Wow, that's just amazing. This really is a day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. If you are a religious person, I suggest you pray to whatever god you believe in. The entire world will need it tonight. This is Channel 8 signing off, **** off san diego.

Hand, this just in! The red man known as Relmo has enlisted the aid of a small, annoying Canadian counter-agent known only as Ryu. Reports indicate that they are quietly making their way to the Pennis-land-vania border to escort a well-known political figure, known to the world only as 'Snowman-something-or-other' to the "safety" of the soon to be Anti'Canadian oasis known as South Carolina.
More to come...

Just how much money is made from these forums? Does anyone have an idea of what they charge advertisers? And how much does it cost to actually run and maintain the site? I'm just looking for ball parks.
I have been an observer at nopistons ever since the bastards at the 'club' banned me repeatedly, for saying that the site is run by money hungry selfish freaks that don't care about the users. I guess this turning off of servers proves my point.
It is just a shame that the Canadian section over there is more frequented than here but I will personally try to change that.

This is a pretty hard question to answer, each forum is different, depending on what goals you set for yourself, will depend on what your finances are like. If you think you are going to make a killing or for that matter even beer money off of a forum then you are off on the wrong foot. To be perfectly honest, every time this forum (which is the only one I can speak for with any knowledge) as soon as I start to see maybe $50 to $100 a month going into our savings I know it's time to start looking at a server upgrade. With the backup service, server, bandwidth, monitoring, etc, etc... we are currently paying a little over $400 per month for that portion. I personally have never raised advertising rates on current advertisers, every banner you see at the top is paying the same amount they did when they signed up, keep in mind two of those banners are in house. Sponsors help, more realistically all of the members paying to support the forum and various donations are what keep us a float, without them I would not be here.
If you value your time and you want to put any kind of dollar value on the time you spend, then there's no profit to be had... the way I run this place, but as anyone can tell you that's been here much, I've told advertisers to get fucked on several occasions, for various reasons and I've never changed the rules to suite them. Certainly you could play the slave to a big advertiser and keep ahead of the game, but then you've got some potential headaches down the road if your views differ from theirs.
That said, I wouldn't change anything regarding my time at the on bridge here, there's been far more good times then bad, I've met some great people and made some life long friends, my life has changed in ways beyond expectations because of my involvement here, this is a great group of individuals and even though we've fought, cussed and had it out on many occasions, we've always ended up better in the long run.
I am sure that rx7club.com will straiten things out, I wouldn't right them off because of what has taken place, if rx7club is where you prefer to be then be patient. Whatever happens, life will go on!

I'm canadian. We don't use it much. It's kinda hard to get to especially since you have to click 1 extra time to get there. But it helps keep out the self rightous rx7 drivers who frequent the canadian forum of the forums similar to this one,
