Great pics.
my grandfather had a old Ro80 parked in the garage collecting dust untill atleast mid 80's too bad he didn't keep it. never knew it was a rotary. |
Top Speed 0-60 MPG
108mph 13.1s 18mpg hmm, maybe I don't wish he would have kept it. lol |
By 1969, the rot had set in & NSU fell into the waiting arms of Audi. Via Audi, the VW group allowed further development of the engine & there was talk of a 3 rotor powered Audi-100 for 1977. History shows us they went for the 5-cyl engine instead. Ah yes....I love that little fact. I drive an Audi 90 with the 5cyl as the DD and have the GSL-SE in the garage. Here's a pic:
http://autooboz.site.kz/foto/nsu/nsu_ro80(1968).jpg What I want to know is why I can't have a NSU in my nopistons.com garage? On that note - there's definitely more NSU's here than rotary Mazdas https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png. I've only ever seen one Rx7 in Ireland, but have seen a handful of NSU's, and the only rotary I have ever been in was one my friends grandparents had. Mark EDIT: The Rx7 I saw wasn't even Irish! |
Well..SEND ME ONE! I'll send you a 7 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

It's on your face! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png (ok, that was kinda gross).
My uncle's cousin I think still has a 5 cylinder Audi. Nice car, but would have been better with a 3 rotor. |
