Sorry for the inconvenience, we had a major power spike and it managed to hose the surge protector, the CPU and one of the hard disks so we are down until I can locate some new parts. I do have a recent backup (this morning) and if all goes well I should have it back up shortly after I find the parts to get the system running again. Unfortunately the bad hard disk means I will have to come off the backup and not just toss a new CPU

Nope, it's down and out man, we are waiting for parts. I will see what I can do tomorrow.

how old are you talking about? I don't have much AMD crap laying around, but if I happen to step on one late at night, I will send it your way when I am done prying it from my foot, and throwing it across the room (yes, there are many many computer parts laying around my room, and I am ok with that)

 

OK lemme know, I also lost an 18gb SE drive which really pisses me off because all I have on the shelf is 9 gigs so will be short one drive, no biggie we only had 9 gigs of ***** on their so 2 18's will adequate. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that the backup worked!

 

The **** part is without a proc there is no way for me to know for sure that the motherboard isn't hosed, but I am pretty sure it is just the proc and the drive



Stupid surge protector, was a cheap *** one, the little fuse on it blew and everything but it didn't work for ****, I think those surge protectors are like anti-virus software .... false sense of security!
