Navasota 1/8 Drag Races
#1
the A&M sports car club hit up the 1/8 track. low turn out, but lots of runs. my times improved over last october and the 1/4 track in january.
rxn: 0.665
60': 2.312
300': 6.093
1/8 mile: 9.101
mph: 82.6
my 60' stunk. if i could have improved that, i might be able to get into the 8.9's. i was also shifting a little early (at 6750 instead of 7500).
i improved my strategy and launches, but the IC started getting hot and my times jumped to 9.35 or so. i should have opened my hood and let my engine cool for like 15 min or so.
either way, those times put me well into the 13.8's - 13.9's for 1/4, considering my 1/8 time in january was 9.17 sec at 81 mph, resulting in a 1/4 time of 14.03 at 102.0 mph.
i'm happy, mbc works well, and i killed a number of v8's.
only things faster: jeff's old school bullitt mustang, running 8.6 sec, and a ls1 trans am running 8.8 sec.
